Time for a reality checkJohn Moore
I write this on 12 May '04. Today the tape I've been expecting has been made public.
That tape being the execution of 26 year old Mr. Berg.
For those who know the habits of our enemies this execution was expected, not a surprise. I fully expect we will be seeing more Americans having their heads cut off while still alive.
Up until September '01 I left off my bio the fact that I spent a year of my life 8 to 5, mon-fri. studying classified documents on the Middle-East, Middle East terrorists, etc. [6th Special Forces Group (Airborne) G-2, S-2]
I know for a fact (because they have told me so) that I have friends reading this who in their heart know that we Americans in Iraq can do good. That by building medical clinics, schools, delivering water, sewer and electricity, the people of Iraq will "love" us, that they will see Americans are charitable, caring, selfless people.
Time for a reality check:
and.....
But,......John....... We're AMERICANS. We're the GOOD GUYS!!!!!!
Really?
The anguish over mistreatment of Iraqi prisoners? Wait a minute. Here's how the other side see's all this:
OUR ARMY
With all the finger pointing about the prisoner mistreatment photos and who bears responsibility. We should understand a few things:
Training, command and control of any army is done by the heart and soul of that army. The heart and soul being the senior NCO Corps.
I know my conservative Republican friends don't like to hear this , but the destruction of the military under Bill Clinton was, for the most part, merely a continuation of G.H.W. Bush policies.
Beginning in the early 1990's senior sergeant's were:
1.) Offered financial incentives to retire early.
2.) Forced to endure endless meetings in the areas of "politically correct" matters regarding integration of women into the Corps. the environment. homosexuals and more.
3.) Subject to a "hostile" environment for retention in general, especially Vietnam veterans.
SO. in 2004..... we have 25 year old's supervising 19 year olds. Throw women into the mix and..... well.... you can see the results.
I must close for now, other commitments calling.
Please forward this article to anyone you see fit.

Ross Ice Shelf
------------ From: JOHN MOORE [JRLIBERTY@webtv.net] Sent: Wednesday, October 06, 2004 8:36 AM To: jrmoore-radioshow@egroups.com Cc: jrliberty@webtv.net Subject: Melting ice: Fact & Fiction Melting ice: Fact & FictionThe Guardian, a British newspaper (on 7/14/04), published an article about global warming and concentrated on the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere to make their point. Slight problem:While, yes the Earth is in fact warming, it's warming from the inside! As evidence I point to the drastic melts we are seeing at both poles. 1.) The ice at the North Pole has completely melted (something never before observed since modern man has had access) 2.) Both Larsen "A" and Larsen "B" ice shelf's have melted in the Antarctic and fallen into the ocean. Neither of these events happened because of increases in ambient air temperature due to increases CO2, rather these events happened because of the ocean and ground warming.
Therefore, the CO2 argument is a flight of fancy, or fiction. However,The article mentions how the levels of the oceans would rise 110 meters (330 feet) if the Antarctic ice were to completely melt.
Not only is this fact, it's already commenced to happen!
Unfortunately, The Guardian newspaper has a socialist agenda and the slant of the article is to promote same in their support of the Kyoto agreement on global warming.
Even if CO2 from human activity was a real problem, all the Kyoto agreement does is prohibit the industrialized nations from making more and allows 3rd world countries to go full steam ahead to make as much as they care to.
That's how you can tell this (Kyoto) is motivated by politics and not science. If CO2 from human activity was real science, you'd see no exceptions for 3rd world countries to produce more CO2..........None.
The foregoing is such an easy concept to comprehend I wonder why it's not pointed out publicly?
REALITY CHECK:1.) There is Global Warming taking place. 2.) All areas of human habitation below 400 feet above sea level are at risk, ( which by the way, we're talking about the infrastructure that supports 75% to 85% of the Earth's population). 3.) It's in no way connected to human related activity. 4.) While the complete melting of the Antarctic Ice is (for the time being) remote, the melting of the Ross ice shelf (also in Antarctica) is a very real matter. Estimates vary from a 16 or 18 foot to 36 foot rise in sea levels from this body (Ross Ice Shelf) of ice sliding into the ocean. IN CONCLUSION
The Ross Ice Shelf has been known for decades to be at risk of sliding into the ocean. It has been carefully monitored by the world's governments for decades as well.
Please be advised that the Ross Ice Shelf is in fact on the move and commencing it's slide into the ocean. No, it won't be today or tomorrow, but it's moving and gathering speed (speed being a rather relative term). The best scientists on the planet were completely wrong about the fate of Larsen "A" and Larsen"B" ice shelves. Both broke away from the Antarctic Continent and melted in a fraction of the scientist's predicted time. These were the masses holding the Ross Ice Shelf in place, and they're gone!

John Moore
